The Beginning

Love Fellowship Christian Ministries (“LFCM”) was birthed by God through the obedience of his servants, Charles and Betty Steele on August 6, 2000. God’s “favor” led them into a facility that was just waiting to be occupied for His Glory – the James Cousins Municipal Center, located at 8600 Glenarden Parkway, Glenarden, MD.  “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” (Psalms 118:23)

God's Instructions

God’s instruction was to wait for him to give the name of His church. LFCM did not receive its name until mid-September of 2000. One could question, why would God birth a church before He gives it a name? And the response is, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9). God requires us to “Trust in the Lord with all thy heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) 

God Spoke

On June 8, 2008, God spoke to LFCM,, “Morever, I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime, And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee a house.” (2 Samuel 7:10-11)

The Plan

On August 30, 2008, Love Fellowship Christian Ministries moved from 8600 Glenarden Parkway, Glenarden, Maryland to our permanent home, 9901 Brandywine Road, Clinton, MD 20735. And we say, TO GOD BE THE GREATER GLORY!
